Delete your account
You can delete your Rival Monarchs account and the data that goes with it at any time. It's free, and you don't need to install the game again to ask.
If you still have the game
- Open the game and tap Settings on the main menu.
- Go to Account and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. The account is deleted at once and the game returns to the main menu.
If you don't have the game any more
Email hello@radiantprotocols.com with the subject Delete my Rival Monarchs account, and tell us:
- If you signed in with Google or Apple: the email address of that account. We write to that address and ask you to confirm, so that nobody else can delete your account. If you hid your address with Apple's Hide My Email, tell us your display name and last match, as below.
- If you played as a guest, or only with Google Play Games or Game Center: we hold no email address for you. Tell us your display name (shown in the online lobby; a guest's looks like player-3f84b6), and the date and opponent of your last online match, as well as you remember them.
We answer, and once we've confirmed the account is yours we delete it, within 30 days. We tell you when it's done.
We only delete an account when we can tell it's yours, because a display name is something other players can see. If you played as a guest and what you tell us doesn't match one account, we can't delete it by hand. That account holds no name or email: only the generated name, a rating and match records. We delete such accounts after 24 months without use. If you played with Google Play Games or Game Center, you can also install the game on a phone signed in to that account, which reopens your account, and delete it in Settings.
What we delete
- Your account, profile and display name, and your rating.
- Your linked sign-ins: your Google, Apple, Google Play Games and Game Center identifiers, and the name and email you shared through Google or Apple. We also revoke the game's Sign in with Apple token at Apple.
- Your notification settings, and the push tokens or installation IDs of your devices.
- The list of players you blocked, and blocks against you.
- Reports other players filed about you, and your past bans.
Your open challenges and rooms are cancelled, and every session of the account stops working.
What we keep, and for how long
- Match records and replays. Your opponents keep their match history. Your name is removed and what remains points to an empty placeholder account, so these no longer identify you. Match logs go after 12 months.
- Reports you filed about other players. They stay without your account ID, until 12 months after we resolve them.
- A ban in force. If the account is banned when it's deleted, we keep one-way hashes of its sign-in identifiers until the ban ends (for a permanent ban, indefinitely), so that the ban continues on a new account created the same way. The hashes can't be turned back into the identifiers.
- Server logs and backups. They age out: logs within 30 days, backups within 35 days.
- Your email to us, if you asked by email: up to 24 months, as the record of your request.
What we can't delete for you
- Saved games and settings on your phone. They never reach us. Deleting the game removes them.
- Google Play Games and Game Center. Your achievements, scores and gaming profile are held by Google or Apple. You can delete your Play Games data in your Play Games profile or Google Account, and manage Game Center in your iPhone's settings.
- The link to your Google Account. Google keeps a record that you signed in to this game. You can remove it in your Google Account's connections. On its own that doesn't delete anything from our servers, so delete your account here as well.
